Vic Snyder has worked at the University of Washington Career Center since October 1996 and recently retired as Associate Director of Counseling.
Vic managed the Center’s counseling team and had consulting relationships with engineering, science and health related departments on campus. Vic assisted in developing the Navigating Career Options course and has edited the annual Career Center Career Guide. He has developed career service programming for the Center and coordinated workshop delivery to departments and student organizations. He also performed individual career counseling and presented numerous career workshops including Dependable Strengths training for students, alumni and professional staff. He is currently a Dependable Strengths Master Trainer, board member and treasurer of the Center for Dependable Strengths non-profit organization in Seattle.
Prior to working at the UW, Vic spent 10 years in a private career counseling practice in the Seattle area providing pain management vocational rehabilitation, career relocation, and outplacement services. He previously served 10 years as Assistant Supervisor of Counseling and Guidance at Lake Washington Technical College in Kirkland, Washington. Vic is a past president of the Puget Sound Career Development Association and the Washington State Vocational Guidance Association.
