These are difficult times. Budgets are dwindling, demands are increasing, and new ways of doing business are essential. A “new way” that many people are finding helpful is Motivational Interviewing, being used in social service agencies, educational systems, and correctional facilities around the country. Attend this session and learn

• How Motivational Interviewing works and why it is effective.
• How Motivational Interviewing can help students and customers take charge and assume more responsibility for their lives.
• How to apply Motivational Interviewing in your work setting.
• How Motivational Interviewing can improve your results. 

The Motivational Interviewing session at the recent Building Skills conference in Seattle was standing room only.  Because of this interest, the Center for Learning Connections is offering a full-day Motivational Interviewing workshop at Highline Community College on Thursday, July 9, from 8:30 a.m.-4:00 p.m.  The facilitator will be Cal Crow.

CEUs / Free Clock Hours

Free Clock Hours are available after the workshop.

Participants can register for Highline Community College Continuing Education Units (CEUs) before starting a course. The cost is $10 per course. Participant should call Extended Learning at 206-870-3785 to apply.

Cancellation Policy:
The cancellation fee is $25. If you must cancel your registration, you may request a refund minus the $25 fee up to 3 working days prior to the event. After this date, no refunds will be issued; you can make substitutions. "No-shows" will be charged the full workshop fee.

Note: All fees must be received within 90 days after event or a service fee of $25 will be added.
