Scholarships
The ASSOCIATION offers 4 scholarships a year - 1 for students and 3 for employees. The amount is now $1,200 each.
The purpose of the "Building our Future" Scholarship for students is to actively recruit qualified, motivated students who wish to pursue teaching/ administrative careers within the Washington community and technical college system. The scholarship amount is $1,200.
The Alan Spence Employee Scholarship is available to classified, professional or confidential exempt employees who are qualified and motivated to continue their education and through that education strengthen the Washington Community and Technical College System. The scholarship amount for employees is $1,200.
The guidelines and application for the scholarships for students and employees can be accessed below. Please share this information with your students, staff and co-workers. This is an excellent opportunity for Washington community and technical colleges to “grow our own talent.”
The Alan Spence Employee Scholarship application is due by April 5, 2010 to be considered for the 2010-2011 academic year.
The "Building our Future" Scholarship for students application is due by May 17, 2010 to be considered for the 2010-2011 academic year. Scholarship applications are accepted from ASSOCIATION member colleges only.
